Detroit Public Art & Gallery Studio Event Creative Space: DistrictVII

District VII is a studio/gallery/space located in Detroit’s Riverfront Area contrived by two forward thinking artists. Set to open on 10.10.10 District VII promises to explore the connection between art and technology probing its outermost boundaries and defining the infinite question of what art really is. District VII was organized on the idea that col­lab­or­a­tion between artists, musi­cians, tech­no­lo­gists, and aca­demia is the key ele­ment in cre­at­ing a rich cul­tural envir­on­ment for the dia­logue and con­cep­tion of tech­no­lo­gical art prac­tices. We strive to cre­ate a space where art and tech­no­logy can meet allowing people from diverse back­grounds to come together, col­lab­or­ate, and explore new dir­ec­tions and art practices. District VII is ded­ic­ated to both show­cas­ing the work of tech­no­lo­gists, musi­cians, and artists.
